Paul H. Mattingly
Paul H. Mattingly is currently Associate Professor of Educational History at NYU. He is a graduate of Georgetown University (AB) and received both MA and Ph.D degrees in history from the University of Wisconsin. he has taught in the History Department and Department of Educational policy Studies of the University of Wisconsin and has been with NYU since 1968. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Historical and Philosophical Foundations at new York University wince 1974. Professor Mattingly has published articles and reviews on various subjects in social and educational history in Teachers College Record, History of Education Quarterly, American Educational Research Journal, Journal of American History, Educational Studies and History of Education (England). He is the editor of the History of Education Quarterly and currently holds a Spencer Fellowship of the National Academy of Education. He is co-editor, with Michael Katz of ""Education and Social Change in Canada,"" to be published by the NYU Press in 1975.
