Jewish Studies in the Twenty-First Century

Recent scholarship has created new understandings within the academy concerning the Bible’s reliability as a historical source, while scholarly approaches from the social sciences, literary theory, and feminist studies have dramatically affected how the Bible is read and understood. Yet much of this work has not filtered down beyond specialists in university settings. There is a need to communicate this research to a wider public of students and educated readers outside of the academy.

The volumes in this series seek to meet this need, presenting accessible insights and cutting edge knowledge from senior scholars about key topics within Jewish studies.
